PagBrasil informs: Brazil’s e-commerce grows 29% in 2012

Brazil’s e-commerce market ended 2012 with a strong growth of 29 percent and BRL 24.12 billion in sales according to ABComm (the Brazilian Association of Electronic Commerce). With a predicted online retail growth of 25% – 35% in 2013, Brazil will continue being one of the outstanding opportunities for online retailers in Latin America and the world. Data published by the Brazilian business magazine Exame predicts that Brazil will become the 4th biggest online sales market in the world by 2016. Ahead of Germany by then, only China, the USA and Japan will have more online sales than Brazil.
