This month, we’ve been to two fintech events! Our Director of Business Development, André Almeida, attended the Singapore Fintech Festival, the largest event about financial technology in Asia. In addition, our CEO and Co-founder, Ralf Germer, attended M2Bank & Fintech LATAM, in San Francisco, and spoke at the panel “Cross-border digital payments”.
Singapore Fintech Festival 2019
Singapore Fintech Festival is the largest event in financial technology in Asia. With over 1,000 exhibitors, this year’s edition expected at least 45,000 participants from 130 countries.
The week-long event, held from November 11th to the 15th, featured exhibitors, conferences and award shows, in addition to the Global FinTech Hackcelerator Demo Day, Global Investor Summit, and Innovation Lab Crawl.
M2Bank & Fintech LATAM 2019
The M2Bank & Fintech LATAM was held on November 12th and 13th. Financial institutions and fintech companies gathered to share thoughts and insights on digital products for the future. Mr. Germer participated in the panel “Cross-border and digital payments”, alongside Lindsay Lehr, Associate Managing Director and Payments Practice Leader at Americas Market Intelligence.
Mr. Germer spoke about payment innovations and financial inclusion and Brazil and LATAM, while Ms. Lehr brought insights on how blockchain can resolve cross-border payment issues with security and information distribution.
What’s next
As we approach the end of the year, our event calendar for 2019 has also come to an end. We are now prepping for 2020 and our agendas are already filled with ecommerce and payment industry events! We will share our event schedule for the next year shortly, so stay tuned!
