PagBrasil Offers Discount per Payment Method for Shopify and New Features

PagBrasil has just launched a new feature for its Shopify app: the possibility to offer a discount per payment method. Now, merchants running an online store with Shopify will be able to set up discounts for Boleto Flash®, PEC Flash®, and Pix payments.

The new feature adds two main benefits for merchants: the first one is an increase in sales and revenue, as online stores can encourage customers to shop by giving them a special discount. According to a study conducted by Google, some of the main reasons that influence Brazilian consumers when deciding to buy online are special offers, discounts, and promotions.

The second advantage is credit card processing cost reduction, which is often too high. Credit cards are the most preferred payment method in Brazilian e-commerce, mainly because they allow installment payments.

However, although extremely beneficial for consumers, this alternative can become costly to merchants, due to the credit card anticipation fee for installment. Offering discounts in alternative payment methods encourages buyers to choose a payment method with better processing fees for merchants.

 

How to set up discount per payment method for Shopify

New Shopify Features

Order status at Shopify dashboard

Merchants can now check the order status available at the PagBrasil dashboard also directly from the Shopify dashboard. It applies to the following situations:

•  Canceled orders for unpaid boletos and unauthorized credit card payments, returning the product to stock automatically.

•  Refunds, regardless of the payment method used.

•  Chargeback, for orders paid with credit or debit card.

The new update is now available on the Shopify dashboard for merchants who process payments with PagBrasil.

 

Automatic cancellations of expired boletos

PagBrasil now cancels all boletos with an expired due date withing Shopify. Consequently, products will be released automatically back to on hand stock.

And there’s more: the merchant can choose the cancellation date for overdue boletos before it expires. This way, it’s possible to work out cart abandonment strategies before cancelling them.

To activate the new features, please contact your account manager and inform the number of days from the expiration of the boleto in which you want to cancel the order.
