PagBrasil in 2020 – and what we expect for 2021

After a challenging year, it is time to turn the page – and analyze the lessons, challenges, and opportunities that 2020 has brought us. In the past year, we have experienced important events at PagBrasil.

We have launched our comprehensive payout solution for platforms and marketplaces and introduced PagStream® for subscription management to our portfolio. Further, we integrated with Samsung’s eWallet service, Samsung Pay, and launched PagBrasil Pix, Brazil’s instant payment method.

We have participated in several digital events, such as webinars, conferences, and forums, with ongoing and relevant topics – with a special mention of Brazil’s new instant payment method, Pix, the subject of rich conversations between our CEO and cofounder, Ralf Germer, and other market specialists.

Despite a very different scenario than what was expected, we reached the end of the year with positive results. We have grown 194% in 2020, increased our client portfolio, and brought new members to the team, with an increase of 24% in our staff.


Boleto Flash® boosted in 2020

The exclusive Boleto Flash®, the only boleto in the market with payment confirmation in less than one hour, has also shown impressive results. This payment method was boosted by 828%  when compared to the year before.

The accelerated payment confirmation not only increases consumer adoption to ecommerce – as it allows customers who do not own a credit card or bank account to shop online – it also encourages boleto purchases, as the product or service can quickly be made available.


PagBrasil in 2021

We started off in 2021 with an important change for PagBrasil. We launched our new visual identity and began a new chapter in our history, without leaving behind the values we have preserved throughout the past 10 years in the market.

We have changed, but our essence remains the same We are committed to simplifying the way Brazilians pay, and remain dedicated to our the purpose of including the entire population in ecommerce.
