Numbers for Black Friday 2018 in Brazil

As stated above, Black Friday sales grew by 25% in Brazil this year. The total volume of BRL 3.5 billion includes the sales from Thursday to Sunday. Thursday evening, in particular, registered great stats: between 7 pm and 8 pm, the sales had reached BRL 435.4 million, a total higher than the amount raised during the 24 hours of the same day in 2017, BRL 428.5 million.

Part of the success of Black Friday can be attributed to the fact that consumers are more confident regarding the veracity of the sales, which creates a more positive environment. According to an analysis by Reclame AQUI, 85% of all Black Friday mentions on Twitter were positive. Reclame AQUI also registered one complaint every 30 seconds in the first hour of Friday.
