PagBrasil Becomes a Licensed Payment Institution (PI)
We started the year with a major regulatory milestone. PagBrasil was officially authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil as a Payment Institution (PI), under the Electronic Money Issuer category, adding a new level of strength and credibility to our operations.
This authorization serves as a seal of trust from the Central Bank, making it easier to establish partnerships with banks and international financial institutions.
In practical terms, this milestone enables the creation of innovative products, such as cash withdrawals via Pix abroad and Pix-based services for foreign users in Brazil.

The Evolution of the No-Redirect Journey (1-Click Pix)
PagBrasil was a pioneer in launching 1-Click Pix for e-commerce. In its first version, released in November 2024, the solution enabled automatic redirection to the user’s banking app, already delivering a meaningful improvement to the checkout experience.
Then, with the launch of the No-Redirection Journey in January 2025, PagBrasil introduced the latest evolution of the solution to the market in February. Consumers can now complete Pix payments directly within the merchant checkout environment, without being redirected to their banking app to finalize the transaction.
Launch of the New Brand
PagBrasil unveiled its new brand identity, designed to be simpler and more fluid, reflecting how digital payments should feel. In addition to a launch video introducing the new visual identity, the rebrand also featured a brand manifesto, reinforcing PagBrasil’s vision and positioning for the future.

For merchants, the solution helps reduce late payments and offers lower costs compared to card payments. For users, it provides the convenience of automatic debits combined with the smooth experience Pix is known for.

Foreign Exchange Authorization from the Central Bank of Brazil
PagBrasil received an additional authorization from the Central Bank of Brazil, allowing the company to operate directly in the foreign exchange market. The decision was issued by the Department of Financial System Organization and published in Brazil’s Official Gazette on October 22.
This new authorization, which complements PagBrasil’s existing Payment Institution license, enables the company to operate directly in foreign exchange transactions related to international transfers.
Being authorized to operate in the foreign exchange market without relying on intermediary FX banks represents more than a regulatory milestone. It is also a recognition of the strength of PagBrasil’s governance and compliance processes. This step expands our ability to connect people and businesses globally, making international payments simpler, faster, and more transparent.
15th Anniversary and “The PagBrasil Way” Campaign
In October, PagBrasil celebrated 15 years of its journey. The institutional campaign “The PagBrasil Way” revisited the company’s history of innovation, from the launch of Boleto Flash® to Pix Roaming.
More than a milestone date, the anniversary celebrated the strength of a company that has grown alongside Brazilian e-commerce, always keeping the customer at its center.
To commemorate the anniversary and reinforce our brand positioning, we launched the institutional campaign “The PagBrasil Way” campagin, which included a brand manifesto video and a documentary telling the company’s story and outlining its vision for the future.
