March has been a busy month at PagBrasil, with two important events in Brazil. We participated in the second edition of Fraud Day, an event focused on the risk market organized by our partner, Konduto. In addition, we have also participated in Think E-commerce Belo Horizonte, by E-commerce Brasil. Our CEO and co-founder, Ralf Germer, spoke at both events. Check the highlights and photos!
Fraud Day
Fraud Day is an event that focuses on the nuances of the Brazilian market. At the occasion, industry professionals shared their thoughts and experiences, tackling an issue that interests merchants, consumers, and the payment industry: frauds.
To understand the present scenario, Ralf Germer traveled back to 1996 and showed the evolution of payment methods and frauds in ecommerce until today. During the presentation, PagBrasil’s CEO also shows what types of frauds we may expect with Pix, the instant payment system currently under development by Brazil’s Central Bank.

Think E-commerce Belo Horizonte
In mid-March we also participated of Think E-commerce, where Ralf Germer shared tips on how e-commerce businesses can boost their conversion rates. The presentation showed how a fluid & frictionless checkout, financial inclusion and order recovery strategies are key elements to increasing revenue!
Next events
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many events around the globe have been rescheduled. Therefore, our event agenda will initially be resumed in July, with the Fórum E-commerce Brasil, in São Paulo, followed by Vtex Day, which has been rescheduled from April 15-16th to September 2nd-3rd.
In the international scenario, we will be joining Money 20/20 Europe, which has also been transferred from June 16th-18th to September 22nd-24th. We are also exhibitors at the Money 20/20 USA, held in Las Vegas on October 25-27th.
