PagBrasil Presents Its Prestashop Module

Published on 07/05/2018

PagBrasil introduces its new in-house developed module for Prestashop, the popular open source e-commerce platform. The add-on is fully responsive, providing a seamless payment experience on any screen resolution. It is also compatible with all Brazilian payment methods available on PagBrasil’s platform: local credit and debit cards, boleto bancário and online banking transfer from four major Brazilian banks – Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, Itaú, and Banrisul. Furthermore, PagBrasil’s exclusive Boleto Flash®, the only boleto solution in Brazil that offers payment confirmation in less than two hours and comes with a responsive layout, is also available for Prestashop merchants using the module.

“We are delighted to present our Prestashop module”, says Ralf Germer, CEO, and co-founder of PagBrasil, and notes: “Adding yet another extension to our growing list of available solutions meets our goal of facilitating access to all major Brazilian payment methods to local and international merchants. By making the payments’ integration easier and more cost-effective for Prestashop merchants, PagBrasil continues to contribute to the development of the Brazilian e-commerce segment.”

Prestashop is a freemium open source e-commerce platform that powers approximately 341,000 websites worldwide and has consistently increased usage in Brazil. In addition to providing easy access to the broadest set of local payment methods, the Prestashop module is also compatible with a wide range of additional services and functionalities offered by PagBrasil and aimed at improving payments’ conversion rates.

As each business has its own specific needs, the add-on also permits the adjustment of a series of parameters, such as the maximum number of credit card installments, the total number of days until a boleto bancário is set to expire, the soft descriptor identifying the payment on a credit card statement, and an individual message shown on a boleto bancário which can, for instance, help buyers identify the adequate customer support channel.
